P S // Hello Honolulu

Hello All! I had a fun shoot with a local brand called The Firm. Check out there awesome gear! Shout out to them, especially Gilbert, for giving me such a cool opportunity to style and model! And of course, shout out to Jordan for these amazing shots, check out his work at http://leafybug.tumblr.com/. The gear that I worked with are from their new sub-brand, Just Hello. This was the first time I was asked to style anything so I was very excited to take on this challenge. The following pictures are organized by product! Please read on if you’d like to know more about each set!!

Ivory “Hello Hattie” Snapback Hat

This hat gave me the perfect opportunity to use my oversized baroque printed jacket! The jacket went well with the hat because they share a very important characteristic of the “Hello Honolulu” design, the RED! I stuck with an all white color scheme since it never fails to give off a clean, fresh vibe.

Hat – Ivory “Hello Hattie” Snapback Hat

White bodycon dress – Forever 21

Jacket – Thrifted from Goodwill

Shoes – Nike. Bought from Zumiez. Shout out to my homie Dyllan for hooking it up with these fresh all white Janoski’s!

Black “Hello Hattie” Snapback Hat

On the hat, is green on the bottom side of the brim. I used this green as a starting point of my styling. Coincidentally, I had a similar colored top that was perfect to help bring out the green under-brim. I wore my black maxi cardigan to tie up the color scheme and to add an edge factor to the composition.

Top – Thrifted from Goodwill

Shorts – Hurley

Sleeveless Maxi Cardigan – Forever 21

“Hello Hattie” Men’s Tank

The statement piece of this ensemble is the big red flower design. Knowing this, I couldn’t add any more statement pieces that would divert the attention away from the product. I added the cardigan because I felt without a cover-up, the outfit would have looked very plain. If anything, it further adds focus onto the product because it almost frames the image on my body. The thigh high socks and shoes adds an edge to the outfit and the hat ties it all together.

Hat – Lids

Top – “Hello Hattie” Men’s Tank

Knit Kimono Cardigan – Forever 21

Thigh High Socks – purchased through ebay

Shoes – Truffle Collection

“Hello Hattie” Women’s Tank

With the women’s tank, I wanted to embrace the fact that it is a WOMEN’s tank. So I composed a feminine, girly look for this product. I find that most of the femininity of this look comes from the skirt. I am also wearing heeled booties but it isn’t shown. I wanted to show viewers that you can totally style a loose fitted tank with a flared skirt. I matched the red on the tank with my red beret. And added the fake glasses to change up the look of my face.

Top – “Hello Hattie” Women’s Tank

Skirt – Forever 21 (it’s actually a skort)

Bag – Steve Madden

All in all, I really enjoyed this experience and I can honestly say I love all the outfits I composed. I would totally wear out each and one of them! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Thanks for looking! 🙂

Love,

Styleleaf
