Hello All! This is my first OOTD post of this year. It is the ending of February already and I have obviously been neglecting my blog! Feeling so guilty of neglecting this creation of mine for so long, here is my reason for my absence… most of my time has been committed to full time studies and part time work with girlfriend duties and hobbies in between. It’s nice to be back, especially with a cute outfit post. Haha! Anyways here I go:
Hat: Lids
Choker: Forever 21
Long Necklace: ADORE , a boutique located in Kahala Mall
Dress: ADORE (same boutique as the necklace), the brand is called Audrey 3+1
Booties: Forever 21
Purse: Thrifted from Goodwill
This casual dress is light weight and flowy. It’s not casual to a point where it cannot be dressed up, and that is a characteristic that I always enjoy due. Versatility is something I always look for when making a purchasing decision! Absolutely loving the cool tones of the tye dye pattern. Cool tones look so great when paired with black accessories (also silver)! I am layering some neck-ccesories with a black banded choked and a long necklace with teeth-like beads! You always want to pair the simplest of necklaces when layering them (unless they are the statement of your outfit!!) or else it would be kind of an over-kill to wear multiple statement necklaces all at once, in my opinion of course! Balance is key >.^ I was anticipating a bit of walking that day so I went with heeled booties that are at a very comfortable height. If you do not own a pair of black booties with a low, thick heel I would highly recommend buying a good pair because they go well with almost anything and are comfortable enough to walk through the day in while maintaining a stylish look. I would also recommend buying one with a pointed toe because it lengthens the appearance of your legs! My look was topped off with a black wide brim fedora, that also goes well with many things. I find that the bigger your hat is, the more dressed up your look becomes. So when it comes to styling with a hat, I’d go with a simple out with a big hat, or a more complex outfit with a smaller hat. In this case, I really could have went with a bigger hat, such as a floppy hat but I would have had to minus out some neck-cessories to maintain a nice balance in my ensemble. You know what I mean?
Hope you enjoyed it and as always,
thanks for looking 🙂
