OOTD // Popped my culottes cherry

Hey friends,

I recently shopped at Homecoming Honolulu for the first time and picked up my very first pair of culottes! In case you don’t know what culottes are, they are a split-skirt style of pants that were formerly known as women’s under-pants or night pants. I find this style is growing in popularity, especially for the summer! And I totally get why. It’s stylish, comfortable, and breezy. This particular one I purchased is soft green with a high paper-bag waist in a flowy material.

My styling for the day, began with the culottes. I adored the shade of green and wanted to accentuate it. I considered shades with no or little color such as black, white, or nude because I didn’t want to divert the attention of the green with another color. Which brought me to this white lace bustier top. Feeling bare with the plunging neckline, I decided on a silver plated bib necklace that had discolored white pendants. The necklace was given to me by my Aunty Patty years ago and although its age shows, it doesn’t stop me from seeing the use in it. I chose to expose my feet for my footwear for an all-around casual feel with knee-high gladiators that came in a nude colored snake skin pattern. Listed are where my outfit is from 🙂

Necklace- unknown brand, sorry!

Top- For Love and Lemons brand, bought from a local boutique called House of Aria (now closed :()

If you don’t own a pair of culottes already, try one on for the summer >_^

Love,
